Stress Management: Empowering resiliency and self-regulation through mind-body connection practices

Employees at every level of an organization are feeling more stressed than ever. Secretly (or not so secretly!) they crave something more in our life beyond the daily grind, beyond obligation, responsibility and what’s expected. Employees want to be successful at work AND they want to have a happy and fulfilling home life as well. The difficulty comes with learning how to manage these aspects that are frequently in conflict.  This conflict can lead to feelings of overwhelm, stress and even anxiety. These feelings can lead to absentism, non presence, reduced engagement and production and illness.

Research shows that lasting resiliency and well being must come from the inside out.  Unfortunately, our culture does not readily teach or demonstrate how to do this.  Fortunately, we have access to and understanding of time tested, ancient practices of breath work, yoga, aromatherapy and mindfulness/meditation to support self-regulation, self-care, resiliency and healing.  These practices have been shown to help regulate and influence the stress response (fight or flight), calm the mind and facilitate more balance and harmony.

This program will encourage participants in self exploration and enhance self awareness of the stressors they experience. We will teach simple and empowering self-care practices using a whole person approach to support mental, physical, and emotional well-being and learn how to incorporate them into work and home life. This workshop is interactive and experiential.
